The Memo Function

The Memo Function allows free-form notes to be entered and is always available via the icon .

Clicking on the icon opens the panel titled “Add a memo for further processing”.

A free-format note can be entered in this panel. Depending on the type of message and the context in which it is entered, the memo can be assigned to the current contract, to a contract belonging to another sector, or not assigned to any contract.

Contract-independent memos (marked as “Without contract”) end up in the queue or processing basket of the assigned user (“Memo user”). The memo can be retrieved again and assigned to a contract or deleted at a later stage. This makes it possible also to issue internal work orders to other staff, for example.

[ Process.] processes the entered memo and assigns it to a contract or transaction, if one is selected.

[ Save] saves the entered memo to the “Queue” for further processing.

[x] closes the Memo panel and cancels the memo.

The paper clip serves as a Drag&Drop Receiver and allows files to be attached to a memo. The attached file(s) is(are) shown in a grid in the bottom section of the panel. Clicking the buttons in the relevant rows allows the corresponding file to be displayed () or deleted from the list (). To change the proposed descriptive text, can be used.
